Difficulty Update!


Hey, everybody! It's been less than a day since release, but here I am with an update to the game. I guess two months of working on this thing have warped my perceptions of game difficulty. I've been getting some good feedback about game difficulty from a few friends who have been playing it over the day. The biggest thing is that it's just too hard for new players, so the most significant addition to this update is the inclusion of an "Easy" mode. This uses the same levels as normal, but just gives the player more opportunities to use their skills to survive. Other feedback that seemed like a good idea is to add some passive energy recharge (instead of just hitting enemies to recharge), so I added some passive energy recharge to "Easy" and "Normal" mode. The basics of the difficulty settings are below. Hard mode settings have remained unchanged (same with Normal except for the addition of some passive recharge). You know what, you also get another poorly thought out difficulty setting: Extreme! It's barely been tested, which means it's a great thing to try.

Update is in the new zip file (1.1). Just download, extract, and run like normal. It should use the same save file if you've made progress.
